Tommy, my beloved German shepherd died.  He was only 6 years old – too young even judging by dog year.  I can still remember the day I saw him, a cute puppy who loved a particular sleeping position: lying on his tummy while sticking out his four limbs.  Even though I had to go back to Toronto when the Summer ended, I could not resist bringing him home.  He was also unbelievably fond of sleeping, which suited me perfectly well.

I named him after my ex.  It seemed like a good idea back then, albeit not so classy on my part.  But eventually, dog Tommy replaced human Tommy, and I no longer felt the pain in my heart when I said or heard the name again.  My plan worked.

The next Summer I went back to home, Tommy was already fully grown.  He looked at me cooly first, perhaps to size me up.  I thought he forgot about me, but 20 seconds later, he jumped up and (literally) hugged me.  This happens every time I go back home.  And I will miss him terribly the next time I am home.

Rest in peace, dear Tommy.  I hope you didn’t think I abandoned or forgot about you.  I didn’t.  I will never.

We love to blog – well, at least I love to blog.
The almightly blogs grant us amatures a chance to generat readers – however few there are.

But I just realized that I haven’t thought big enough, or really wanted it enough.
Tennis pros like Williams sisters really want it, and they got it.
Some writers wanna-be really want it, and they got it – from Amazon!

I believe I am witnessing a begining of another internet cult.
And it is WAY more intelligent and MUCH funnier than the reaction videos to the infamous "Two girl, one cup" video.

When people in a country get to vote whom they think are most corrupted among the leaders, what would your reactions be?
I will tell you mine: huh?

Philippine President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has just been voted by her people as the most corrupted leader in history!
That’s some kind of achivement!

But this poll just made me wondering: what’s going on in Philppine?
Read this:
      35% of respondents picked the infamous Marcos as the most corrupted;
      16% picked Joseph Estrada (Arroyo’s predecesssor);
      5% chose Fidel Ramos;
Ms Arroyo won the throne by a whopping 42%.

Citizens of Philippine are having bad luck choosing the right leader.
Or, could it be that "absolute power corrupt absolutely", as Lord Acton put it nicely?

What puzzles me is that how it is possible for a country that is so entrenched by corruption carrying out such a poll?
No offence to my homeland, but I don’t think China can pull this off!

No, this has nothing to do with Ms. Rice, Bush’s favorite woman.
This is a great website that allow you to learn English and feed the hungery.

It’s a really great idea!

More about this site:
    " FreeRice is a sister site of the world poverty site, Poverty.com.
       FreeRice has two goals:

And the sponsors lists are pretty impressive: Apple, Toshiba, Radisson Hotel, ect.
I have yet to see Starbucks, tho!
